"Recently
Alpha recorded Venice's song 'Time on my Hands!'
We recorded it during a live rehearsal, in a few minutes soundcheck
before going on stage.
Hope you like it!"
"My name's Susanne,
and I am blind.
It was quite hard recording this song, because I can't read notes,
and I had to listen to all the parts and keep it all in my head.
I had some help from a blind friend who also can't read notes.
So there might be some mistakes here and there.
It took a while for me to record this, though the singing took
about 15 minutes.
Well, see if you like it."
"These
songs were made on my dad's homestudio. A good friend of
his is playing all the instruments.
As you can probably hear, I sing all lead voices and all harmonies.
I'm used to singing and performing
with my band on stage, but this was my very first time in a "studio."
Right now, I'm working on
a demo with about five different songs, which I want to send to
record companies. I'm working really hard
to start a singing career, but it's very hard to get there!!

"Hey,
I just finished a saxophone instrumental cover of "Pushed
too Hard." Man, I'd love
to see it up on the page where other Venice fans have covers!
Are you still doing that?"
"I'm
Henk Slagers. Me and my brother Ben have been to several
concerts of Venice in Holland.
My Brother died at the age of 46. He had a tumor in his
head.
The last concert he saw was in Bornerbroek at the country festival.
We are, like you, a singing family and we sung the Familytree
at his funeral.
Because it was to emotional to sing it live in the church, we
recorded it in a studio.
At the moment of recording, he was in the studio but he was not
able to sing himself.
Thats why I am singing his part too. My four sisters are
singing the other parts.
Thank you for the beautiful song."
